About

I’m Rodrigo.

I’m the principal designer behind Whidbey Design. You work directly with me from the first conversation through the agreed design work.

My approach

Listen closely. Design clearly. Keep it practical.

I studied architecture at Universidad de Cuenca in Ecuador, where my thesis explored sustainable, affordable housing. I now bring more than 10 years of local experience to residential design and project planning on Whidbey Island.

I use BIM, rendering, and enhanced visualizations to help you understand spaces and compare options before construction. My years working alongside area contractors and architects also keep the design conversation connected to the people who help move a project forward.

I believe a kitchen, deck, bathroom, dormer, or compact addition deserves real attention. My goal is to understand how you live, explain the tradeoffs, and design something that feels natural to both your home and the people in it.
